Silver service

Full appraisal of your care service through a CQC style inspection. This incorporates planning for your inspection, consultation with others about your service, an inspection visit, discussion and feedback on the day.

You will receive a written report with the addition of a detailed action plan. This will focus on your strengths across the fundamental standards and will highlight areas for improvement in each of the five key areas of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well Led. Areas for improvement will include recommendations about the evidence you should provide in preparation for CQC inspections and what is required to achieve a rating of ‘Outstanding’.

Gold Service

The Gold service offers everything in Silver with the addition of a return inspection to follow up on the areas for improvement and to provide an appraisal of progress towards your ‘Outstanding’ rating. You will receive a further action plan with detailed recommendations about the evidence you should develop.

Platinum service

The Platinum service offers everything in the Gold service under an annual contract. This includes agreed additional visits to provide oversight of quality assurance and leadership under Well Led. These visits provide invaluable opportunities for ongoing monitoring of action plans, consultation and advice.

Rating Challenge

I provide a rating challenge service at the draft inspection report stage for care providers who have received a rating of ‘Good’ when they believe this should have been ‘Outstanding.’ Robust challenge at the draft report stage can and often does result in a revision of the rating to ‘Outstanding’.

Provider Information Collection (PIC) Service (formerly PIR)

I can support you with the text for your PIC which sets you on your journey towards an ‘Outstanding’ rating. Remember that inspectors use the PIC in their planning for inspections. They quote from this in their reports if they see great evidence of ‘Outstanding’ care. The PIR is a fantastic tool for letting inspectors know they are looking at an ‘Outstanding’ service.
